LED Sidemarkers Causing My Limp?
I did not have an opportunity to grill my SA since I did an after-hours pickup, but what do y'all think of this diagnosis of my limp. Am I reading this right?

Not sure, but you definitely got the last progman update so be careful if you have a tune.

The technician most likely followed test plans for a power management problem. following "green sheets" is a term as following steps that the diagnostic equipment requires you to follow through, typically a series of screens (that are green in color).
The exhaustive discharge of the battery fault will be priority in the diagnostic equipment, and the computer realized that there was a time in which the battery was drawn down due to the side marker being left on (possibly bumped the turn signal stalk on your way out of the vehicle) Electrical problems, specifically power management problems are typically the frist portion of diagnosis, as a bad battery, low voltage, can cause a lot of complaints. This portion of diagnosis is first, and is required by BMW diagnostic/warranty procedures. The other faults stored in the system for boost pressure control and wastegate activation was the second portion of diagnosis. It seems that the technician found for those faults, that a software update would most likely resolve those faults. Now that is how the technician followed the diagnostic test procdures as outlined by BMW... Even though there were power management faults, they would not have forced the vehicle into LIMP mode, and the technician should've further diagnosed the other two faults. From what im understanding happens to the vehicle is the following. Your Wastegate is sticking/binding/not activating intermittantly, causing the wastegate fault to the stored due to the malfunction of the wastegate fault 3100 will be stored due to the fact that its preventing the optimum boost pressure buildup Maybe when it happens again, the technician might get smart and check bulletins
