I'm in the same boat - 6MT, no PDC. Tried getting the emulator and camera to work to no avail. Is there no other way?

Gotta buy a more sophisticated emulator that can emulate PDC or an aftermarket solution like a multimedia interface with a reverse camera input

Yes I believe so. Based on what I've read in the massive DIY reverse camera thread, there were posts mentioning that PDC is the key to send the CAN signal to switch it to the rear view screen/pdc view.

My 2010 335i M Sport has the PDC in rear bumper with nav , will this work? Right now my screen only shows the colors and beeps as you get close to something in reverse.

Yes, with the proper coding parameters set and the camera itself, this emulator is all you'll need to get a working backup camera setup

Is this the autofocustech emulator? If so PDC is not required. Installed this along with the autofocustech backup cam in my parents 335d without PDC and it works great. Should make it easier to sell, lol. Goodluck!
