HiFi Speakers vs. HiFi DSP (aka Logic7)
There are two possible upgrades from standard sound:
"HIFI Speaker System" "HIFI DSP System (Logic 7)" I ordered my car with the first option (tight budget) but it's not built yet. There is ca. $1000 price difference for DSP. (here) I tested them both with my Ipod and DSP did really sound better but I'm not sure it sounded $1000 better. Low and high ends were clearer but that's all I could notice. DSP presets seemed like gimmicks to me. Am I going to regret it? ps. sorry if this is double post, I looked through the threads beforehand. |

im not sure if you are going to regret it but im sure that DSPs are no gimmick. sound does not come out accurate enough on speakers because of the speakers' own physics. really good DSPs re-align the frequencies' timing so they come out of speakers better. the mids dont sound like they are under the lows.
if its just a bass boost EQ DSP stuff or similar then it may not be worth it. if its a BBE sonic maximizer DSP then its worth it. i heard a lot of companies are starting to pay then to use it. its very popular in live sound reinforcement.
