nail in my run flats!!!!!

drove home from whistler yesterday and a tire warning light came on....when i finally arrived at home to look at my tires...had a freakin nail in my back tire!!
so i have 2 questyions:
1) is that covered in my warranty (which i did buy)
2) is it safe to drive for a week before i take the car in for my service?

any help would be greatly appreciated...

Well if you bought the insurance then take it in. No need to make appointment. I think you can drive up to 100 miles no more than 50mph.

If you have no tire insurnace, do not go back to BMW, they will not patch it and only would replace it with a new tire. Go you your local tire store to patch. I patch mine 10,000 miles ago and have no problem.

Yes, tire insurance covers that. Bring it back to the dealer and get a new one.

My dealer actually patched my runflat before, as long as its not on the sidewall it is patchable.

+1 I had my RFT patched also and no problems. The nail was in the tread and not the sidewall, so it was ok.

BMW patched my tire... just had to sign a waiver. i had the car for about 7 days when this happened to me.

I bought new ones, i was kinda skeptical about patching Run flats, I was told that nail

punctures and sidewalk scratches arent covered by warranty by both the BMW dealer and the Tire

place i went.......... i did it the very same day so im not sure how long you can drive with

it
