M3 E90 Replica Bumper
Anyone come up with a solution for the brake ductwork not matching the OEM ductwork on these bumpers. I don't have the oil cooler, so I have one less obstacle.
I have thought about buying M3 ducts and using a heat gun to mold them into place? Other ideas ? |

Just did my e92 rep not too long ago. I used OEM m3 ducts and just cut them down to fit in the rep bumper( they are way too long and tall, they fit the actual bumper openings perfect), and just made some cutouts that pretty much are inline with the openings on the stock non-m wheel well plastics. I'll try to snap a pic later if I remember.

Here's the modified M3 ducts, I do plan to do some more work to them in the future to better direct airflow, but they aren't too bad right now. I don't know how much luck you'll have with trying to reshape them with a heat gun, they are pretty far off from the holes on the wheel well plastics.

I don't think those would work well, that is if you mean using them with the OEM m3 ducts. Even if not I wouldn't waste my money on them I don't think. If going with the M3 ducts I would probably say best to shorten them to fit in the bumper and then use like flexible ducting to go from the rear of the OEM M3 duct to the hole in the wheel well. I like how the OEM ducts fit and look, just need to perfect the direction of the air flow to the brake duct holes.
