The big step is hand washing the car yourself. No one will take better care of your car than you. Get a good microfiber wash mitt, a soap that won't remove the coating (something like Carpro Reset) and good microfiber towels (I use Rag Company) to dry the car.

After that, it becomes how much do you want to spend. You can go all in with a pressure washer and foam gun. You can spray a topper coat at the end. Various ways to really wash the wheels, this is the hardest part. But if you are in the Chicago area, you are running out of time to wash the car outside. Then you need to consider potentially a rinseless wash like Optimum. As I said, it all depends how deep down the rabbit hole you want to go.

props to washing it yourself, thats the biggest step. You dont have to go full obsessed garage, but;

Step 1) good pressure washer/foaming cannon
Step 2) good coating safe (or enhancing foaming soap like Gyeon Q2M)
Step 3) scratchless mitt/washing pad im currently using this
Step 4) good microfiber drying towel this in 26x59 clean my car perfectly
Step 5) enjoy it, cause a coated car looks great and typically needs less cleaning

If you know what company he used for the coating, see if they have a foaming wash and replace Q2M with it. But Q2M is the best pre-wash/wash solution ive encountered on my 3 cars ( with 2 different coating companies)

Garage List
Check out https://www.obsessedgarage.com/ In the detailing section he sells a complete kit for car washing. Of course everyone has their favorite products but Matt Moreman does a great job testing the products that he sells. Also check out the Obsessed Garage You Tube channel.

I will second www.obsessedgarage.com Matt does a great job of doing the work for you in terms of picking out products. If you read through the back story (he uses this as therapy for his diagnosed OCD) you will know you are in good hands.

Just a heads up. The PPF will last a long time if you take care of it and depending on the thickness he bought. However, the ceramic coating I believe needs to be redone once per year depending on conditions.
