E90 330D M Sport - Rear Shocks
Hi all,
Any idea where I can get a complete rear shocks kit? The sachs shocks are part number 311 411 but I can't find a complete kit with bump stops and rubber mounts. Eurocarparts have the shocks on their own for £123.46 with the discount but no dust kit or rubber mounts. |

I got my Bilstein (better quality and cheaper than Sachs)shocks and bump stops from Amazon UK. Didn't need to change top mounts, but could have got them from Amazon too. The parts were cheaper on Amazon than most other parts places I tried, except maybe Autodoc.

Not seen complete kits before, myself. Realoem the part numbers and order what you need/want.
All you need is shocks, bottom mounts, top mounts, bump stops, dust cover/boot...that's all that's attached to the shocks. Folks in the US keep going on about a certain Monroe top mount kit that's a huge 'upgrade' but cheap as chips...maybe look that up while you're on the job |

I did my rear shocks a few months ago and trying to find the correct part numbers was a right ball ache! I got all my parts from autodoc.
Check out this thread as it's got all the information you need: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1664542 |

Exactly mate, unless the savings are substantial, i'd order elsewhere. Also with the covid situation, postage is likely to be delayed further, especially from another country.

Likewise. I've never had any issues in about 5 orders. They're not speedy, but all arrived in something like a week. I do dislike their customer service though, in the dealings I've had with them. And their constantly fluctuating prices (discount and base price) with timed deadlines every day are a scam!

I used them for the first time recently. 6 rear control arms, drop links and a couple of bushings. The parts are fine and came within a week so no complaints from me.

Is that in coronavirus times? They said on a chat there could be a delay of 1 - 2 days which is absolutely fine with me

Just thought I would update on the Autodoc scenario.
I placed the order on 23rd April at 22:27 On the 24th the status changed to something about my items being transferred from suppliers, I'd imagine my parts where coming from different suppliers to the Autodoc warehouse On the same night it changed to non working day 26th Order Picking Complete From thereon i had to wait for the order to be shipped to somewhere else in Germany which was another day or so which then came across to the UK. From there I could then use the supplied parcel force tracking number. Just thought I'd try add a few details on from what I could remember incase others are concerned when they order. |

How you finding the B4s bud? Did you order the "sports suspension" version? I've ordered a set for the rears.

https://www.bilstein-shocks.co.uk/products/19-135052 And all I can say is it feels amazing, it's not quite a fair comparison as my shock absorbers where fully blown passenger side and pretty much gone on the drivers side so I'd be comparing against failed shocks but with these shocks the rear end feels like a solid piece of rubber, before I would hit pot holes and squinch my eyes but the shocks have removed the "crashiness" feeling and as expected it grips the road really well, before I would go around a certain corner and when I hit bumps I would feel the car slightly skip and TC kick in a few times but now I get nothing |
