Taillights conversion from non-facelift to facelift E90

Hi,

I was wondering if this could be achievable. In theory you would only need the trunk lid and the new taillights, right ? The rear fenders are the same. How much money would such conversion cost ?

I think this would be a nicer mod than blacklines

I would rather have a nice CSL carbon fiber trunk.

Why would you want to do that? Facelift tails are hideous, despite them being LED's.

I like the new version.

I am not willing to go with the current csl style lids that are available and Vorsteiner is taking forever.

I predict doing the conversion will be considerably less than any carbon alternatives.

I'm not a huge fan of the stock pre-LCI E90 taillights, but the Blacklines are nice. The new E90 tails? FUGLY!

Frankly, all those poor souls that kept asking "when in the facelifted E90 coming out?" shouldn't have waited. I don't care for the LCI (except the headlights) AND they discontinued A22 Sparkling Graphite!

I used to think so also. But after doing some research...I have come to the conclusion that LCI rear with CSL style trunk will end up looking alot better than blacklines. Trust me on this one.

Blackline LCI tails with the CSL trunk will be perfect. Of course, neither part exists yet, but when they do...

Just a little photoshop of what I have in mind

I think the LCI looks muchhhhhh meaner and aggressive, with the blacklines of course. Without it I think it looks very weird with the over abundant of red.

My neighbor has the 09 sedan...God the taillights look like crap.

IMHO:

Headlights: Coupe > LCI > Pre-LCI
Taillights: Blacklines > Coupe > Old Honda Civics > LCI

Could you just install the outer portion of the new tails on a pre-facelift model to get the LEDs? What about the front with the LED turn signals? Would they just bolt right in?
