I found this drive sequence that you are supposed to do after you change the solenoids & reset the adaptations.
First, I have xHp, but I set my trans tune to stock before resetting my transmission adaptation values via INPA. I found this sequence on-line, that wasn't too bad made by Wedge & Propulsive Dynamics. You do need to have MHD to do this though because you need to monitor the pedal %. I did this today. It was a little tedious, it took me about an hour or so. However, the transmission is as smooth as silk. I will keep it in stock mode for a few more days and then flash it to stage 2. I might leave it on stage 2 for a week before flashing to stage 3. https://megawrzuta.pl/files/3ccbdc63...d56a9a92f9.pdf |

Seems as though you would need a long empty road to do this

First off.....NO, you are not supposed to reset the adaptations after you change out the solenoids. I was told this by ZF techs and xHP. They said that you should only ever reset the adaptations if you do a full rebuild on the transmission.
When I did new seals and solenoids, the ZF tech told me to just drive the car for 500+ miles, and the adaptations would relearn/reset on their own.....he was right, they did. Ask ZF, xHP, or other people that specialize in these transmissions......resetting the adaptations is a bad idea, unless you do a full rebuild. |
