can anyone recommend any of these products for swirls?

I have mystic blue and i went and got a car wash. The car looks like someone took a white pen and wrote all over my car. The swirls are visible in the sun and shade! Now i wish i had gotten tit. silver.

has anyone used/can recommend any of the above products?

Or washed your own car..........

That's why nobody washes my car but me. I would rather have it go unwashed for a week or longer then have some guy making min wage scratch the hell out of it. Sorry to hear what happened.

Check out DavidN's guide to basic detailing. There's tips in there for getting swirls out using a buffing machine and he even tells you which one to get.

Zaino seems very popular... but read his 101 detailing post...

Yea I've noticed that Mystic blue seems to show swirls alot second only to the various shades of black... I've got a few swirls and scratches on my car in the last 6 months and I've only been washing it myself (using Z7 and QEW in the winter). Waiting for a full weekend of good weather to get the PC back out and do some polishing..

If you are really interested in caring for your car paint yourself definately check out the detailing 101 sticky. One thing to remember, you are not going to be able to get those swirls out by hand, you will need a PC to do it (or bionic arms!!). Another site that I've found extremely helpfull is: http://autopia.org/ There is a whole lot more information there then you will ever need...

I assume you will be using the PC . Out of those products I would recommend Mothers Power Polish. The Megs #9 is very mild and would only work for minor scratches. For hand application the 3M product would be good, or try Meguiars ScratchX. Mothers PP is not for hand application and the #9 would be too mild.

You should try Menzerna Intensive Polish and Final Polish II. The dealer put swirl marks all over the paint when my car was delivered. They asked me to come back and get it redetailed. It helped but didn't get them all out. I tried Menzerna Final Polish with the Porter Cable and I got 80% of them out. Highly reccomend it. I will try to get the others out in a month or so with something a bit more agressive. Probably use the Intensive Polish.

I went and bought turtle wax sratch and swirl remover and applied it with a special sponge that won't leave swirls. Although it did not get the major ones out, i was pleasantly surprised. It really worked. A lot of the swirls really did disappear. Now i'll get the zaino, maybe that'll take care of the big stuff. thanks for all the help
