Service Engine Soon

Did anyone here ever get a service engine light with jb3. Also which code reader is the best. Does the code reader delete the error code from the ECU memory so BMW techs cant read or just clear the sevice engine light from the dash . Please explain dont know much abt this stuff.
Thanks

The largest cause of SES is either aftermarket downpipes with no o2 simms, or a faulty o2 sensor, which is common on stock cars as well. Its ussually emmisions related, but if you think its something with the jb3, you should contact support either using the link in my sig, or e-mail terry at terenceburger@gmail.com

You can take it to PepBoys or Autozone and they can take it off with the OBTTI

I got an SES for a vaporous emissions code - left the gas cap loose. Took the car to my local shop, which has one of these readers....

http://www.autologic-diagnos.co.uk/

Code was cleared for $20 in less than 10 min. No trip to the dealer, no 29.2 upgrade.
