Pressure Washers
I wasn't sure if I should start this topic here or in the off-topic section. I'm going to buy a pressure washer in the next few weeks and I needed a recommendation. As of now, I'm looking at a couple of Craftsman models. They're gas powered, but I just wanted to know if anybody here has any experience with them? Pros v. Cons. Thanks in advance.

I think OSH has one that I've used a few times. It's yellow, I can't remember the name off hand, but it's electric and works pretty well.

Whatever you get make sure it's got a Honda engine, and a good pump, if you spend a little more it will last you forever. I like gas because I can turn down the rpms of the engine so it's not strong enough to take paint off. I don't recommend Karcher because they use their own connections that aren't universal which makes getting accessories more of a pain in the ass.

For washing car I like electric best cause you don't need the super high PSI number (only put water all over place where it shouldn't be). But if you buy 1 for all, take a look at this: http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/w...7874_200347874 adjustable pressure, Comet triplex ceramic plunger, Honda engine* (but GC is really lowest end of Honda). I have one and love it. Changed engine oil 3 times after each 1-2 hour use and metal shaving is still showing in oil so if you can, get Honda GX but more $$$ BTW I also have Karcher-1600 electric which I thing is better suited for washing car. someone shows me an adapter to work with foam gun with Karcher but can't seems to find the post |
