E92 CF fabric overlay done!
This is by far the mod that required the most patience. Getting the top plug in and out of the the center main duct on the dash was an absolute PITA. It took me a total of 6-7 hrs to do the cutting of the fabric and applying the 3M super 77 meticulously. I had to redo the ash tray and the big piece that stretches across the dashboard. The ash tray cover definately requires a precise cut and a solid application of adhesive. The looks are quite amazing. Here are some pics in the night. Enjoy!
I purchased 2 sq yrd of this stuff. I have about 1 sq yrd left and a plenty of the 3M Super 77. PM me if interested in this. Last edited by mikeokimster; 10-15-2008 at 04:06 PM.. |

Is that real CF fabric? That looks awesome, I did all of my trim in alcantara so I know what a pain in the ass it is, especially since alcantara is pretty thick. Your install looks flawless good work.

damn....look very nice!! Make your interior look so different and more interesting. But I notice your front long panel piece's wave is different than your middle conscle's wave, did you do that in purpose? Most people have all the waves go on direction.

Wow, I did not even notice that. I guess that adds a bit of flavor to the interior the way it is. BTW I was very lucky I got the ash tray fabric to go the same way as the center console. I realized I forgot to compare the orientation when I went to redo the ash tray and lucked out.

Looks awesome! Is that the leather CF material, and if so, is it durable? I would be worried about getting it nicked if it's leather, and you'd definitely want to be careful with it.

I was thinking about that.
Hey Soni, how good is the clearance between the ashtray cover and the center console? For me, it seems as though the gap is very small and the ash tray opens slightly slower b/c they make some contact in the back of the ash tray cover. |

This and the high gloss black trim is the best looking trim for these cars, hands down!
Great job man!
