FS: e9x Harman Kardon speakers (only 26k miles on them)
I replaced all the speakers and the subs in my 2013 335is that I bought recently (with just over 20k miles on it) with BAVSound speakers immediately after purchasing it). I have all of the HK speakers in the BAVsound boxes. There are two underseat subs, 4 midrange, 4 tweeters, and one center channel for the dash. Note: the center channel is the BAVsound speaker, not HK (long story, but I ended up buying a 3rd speaker for that location, the BMW individual sound speaker) and that is why it is in the BMW Invidivual speaker box rather than the BAVSound box. Each speaker is between $100-$200 to buy new, so you would get all of these for not much more than the price of 1 speaker. |

From base sound (I did the same thing on a 2013 e93 m3 I had) the difference is very noticeable. But where you really, really hear how different the speakers are is when you add one of their amps. With the much more powerful amp, the BAV speakers are epic. (I added the amp to that same M3 convertible a few months after doing the speakers first). Also, depending on the car and the impedance of the ghost under seat subs, the bass difference can be mild or enormous. I put 8 ohm ghosts in an e84 x1 xdrive35i I had, and the difference was enormous. On the 335is, the ghosts (I think they are 2 ohm if I remember correctly) are a mild upgrade. I am keeping my fingers crossed they make their new amp available on the e9x HKs (they currently aren't). |
