Does updating ECU modules make any noticeable difference?

Hi,

I'm curious to know whether updating all the ECU modules to run the latest updates makes any noticeable difference to the car's general running/performance.

I got my cic module updated last year to CIC.C1A to be able to retrofit a back up camera, totally worth it btw.

I'm considering doing the rest but want to know if people who have done this found it useful.

Thanks.
