Ceramic Paint Protection

Been reading a lot of post about doing a ceramic coat on the cars. I checked with a detailer, who has done work on the side for me about this. He said it usually runs around $700 (Ohio) but he would do it for me for $500. He said it is expensive because it will take him all day. I really don't know much about this, so does this seem fair or what questions should I be asking?

I've been quoted about $1,405 total with a few a la carte options I added (Texas)

$500 seems like a steal but really depends on what all is covered with that I suppose.

For example with my package:
All paintwork
All exterior trim
Lenses
All exterior glass (different type of coating than paintwork ceramic)
Wheel faces
Stage 1 paint correction*
Prep/decon

A la carte:
Wheel barrels + calipers $200
Extra layer of 9H on all exterior $250

*paint correction is very important with ceramic. Without it, any imperfections would essentially get sealed into your clear coat for the foreseeable future. You can only get the glass-like finish if they do paint correction. Whether you need stage 1 or more just depends on how bad the swirls or marring on your paint is

Thanks, I know it covers all paint work, but not sure about trim etc. I will find out. I have an appointment to take it in on the 17th.

If it covers everything mentioned minus the wheel faces, it's still a seriously good deal.

I'd also see what product he's using. I mean most are pretty decent these days but some have better usage/warranty than others but I'd want to know so I can look into the product if it was my car
