damaged bumper

yesterday when i came out of the house i found my car damaged . probably someone kicked it or hit it with his car and ran . the area damaged is just under head lights in other words the front bumper .
do i have to chage the bumper and put a new one since it should be on the insurance or can i simply repair the bumper and repaint it . any one know how much it should cost for both cases !
help

You most likely wont need a new bumper.

Here is the best way of removing that dent with as little damage as possible.

Remove the inner fender plastics, and take either a heat gun or a hair dryer and heat up the effected area slightly.

Once its heats up enough put force behind the dent, but not enough to make it pop out to fast. The slower you go.. the less damage you will do to it.

If you go slow enough the paint wont crack.. which is also why you should heat it up.
