LED Sidemarker Bulbs

How bout it? Anyone have them installed? How do they look?

I just got mine from **********s and I haven't installed them yet -- but dying to see how they look. In some pictures it looks like they blink a bluish color....

Nice, that's what I thought.

haven't had a second to put them on yet.....but I prelim tried to "slide" the sidemarker lens off and it was pretty firm. felt like it was going to break how did you remove them?

According to DOT specifications you should run Amber sidemarker bulbs but I have never had a customer complain about failing inspections or being pulled over for running white sidemarker bulbs. We have carried these for quite some time now and offer them in our V2 Version with 6 individual LEDs built into the bulb. They are completely clear when off and blink in either amber or xenon white. We also have them on special for $12.50 for the set in xenon white or $10 for the pair in amber

much cleaner look IMO. Now, if only someone could make a replacement bulb for the ugly stock amber for the front signals....

Anyone know how to get to the damn bulb in the housing? I have the side marker in my hand... Clear housing with grey back and then the white piece where the connector plugs into with a little rubber grommet inbetween. Tried twisting pretty hard on the white piece and it wont budge.

Nevermind - just snapped the white clip. Don't need it anyhow, it still locks just fine.

I used to have LED sidemarker bulbs, but I decided to switch to regular superwhite bulbs. Here's why...

The on/off blinking of the LED bulbs is very precise. Eventually, the turn signals and the LED sidemarkers get out of sync. If you only use your turn signals for a few seconds at a time, you may not notice it. The longer your turn signals are on, the more out of sync and retarded it looks.

Those who have them, give it a try and report back...

Bimmian does seem to f*** up a lot. But, I have had no problem with the Solaris turn signal and sidemarker bulbs they sell. You can get a good deal on them if you buy more than one set at a time.

I believe that won't be a problem with the LCI's, because they have led turn signals as well...

..or an E90 with LED bulbs. I have LED bulbs in both my turns and sidemarkers. Again, no problems.

I got mine from **********s but am going to switch them out. They blink occasionally, like a flicker, when the blinker is not even being used. I'm not receiving error codes, but noticed the other day when my car was warming up. (07 build) They also are too blue for my liking..i prefer a whiter look

The blinking is normal. You dont notice it with the regular incandescent bulbs because the pulse is too short to generate any noticeable visible light.

These aren't a Bimmian product. Just the LED sidemarker bulbs. We do carry their sidemarker's but that's something else.

As to the color - it's a white with a blueish hue at the end of it. So basically it comes off looking blue.

You can pretty much put any 168/194 bulb in there and it would work. I had these in my E90:
