Air compressor suggestions?

Hey all,

Well, its time I get an air compressor for my garage. Just wondering what you guys suggest. Nothing crazy, more like a beginner setup.

Thanks.

i have a nice Craftsman stand up tank from sears... I'm not sure of the gallon size, but i'll run out to my garage and get that for u. Works great, sits outta the way and it's pretty much all you'll need. Came with a few beginner tools too, like impact wrench, socket wrench, air hose, ect...

Make sure you get a belt driven compressor, they run quieter and last much longer. If you want a more portable one get a horizontal, if it's pretty much going to stay in one spot get a horizontal one to save space. I recommend with going with something like a 30 gallon. We have a Husky from Home Depot that's been great, I think for the money Craftsman and Husky are pretty good.

I have a Black & Decker ASI300 Air Station Inflator. Not sure if this is the type your are looking for. I am pretty happy with it.

Ok, cool. I had looked at craftsman ones about 5 yrs ago but then never went through with it. Didnt know there were belt driven ones though. What about oil lubricated? Ive seen that mentioned a couple times.

You guys have any pics/links to what you have?
