Hi,

I just changed to another ABS/DSC module that came from an diesel engine. I have N52B25 engine and realized that I didn't save my original TRC file from the DSC unit.

Im looking for an original MK60_87.C03

Im constantly getting MK60_87.C0D despite factory coding in NCS expert therefore Im getting a lot of errors in INPA (wheel speed sensor, buss communication).

I managed to pull the DSC cable out so I could attach the old DSC module to the cable. I did extract the file which is MK60_87.C0A

My new question is why I cannot write over x.C0D. It is either C03 or C0D. I wrote over many times with the file .C0A but no success. Does FA need modification?

Tried coding with NCS Expert and ISTA-P .. DSC refuses to get re-coded. Is it such a thing called HARD coding down to EEPROM level?

Only two things I hadn't tried:

-WinFKP with modified checksum
-NettoDat.TRC then use "Basic function" in NCS expert
-modified C0D (original file) with some changes copied from C0A (the older model) then the usual procedure in NCS Expert.


Any suggestions?

I'm sorry, it is difficult for me to interpret what you are saying. However, if you have replaced your DSC with one from a vehicle that had different specifications from yours, the first thing you should do is program (flash) it with WinKFP

I have no idea what you mean with "WinKFP with modified checksum". Just use WinKFP in comfort mode - it should pick the latest, most appropriate ZUSB

Only after that should you try to code it with NCSExpert. Use the default (factory) coding mode. You may need to run the steering angle sensor calibration after that.

That said, I know there a million different DSC module variations and the used one you purchased may not be compatible. I don't know enough to tell you which you can use and which you cannot use.

The problem is that I couldn't find the part number of the new DSC unit in WinKFP. I typed ZUSB number and nothing appeared.

The old module part number is 6776067. I can find it in DSC90 file.
The new module part number is 6787837. It came from 320D diesel 4 cylinder. My car is petrol 6 cylinder.

However, Ista-P tried to flash over the new module with the original part number but it couldn't initialize the unit and make some calibrations after that. Then I had to click "replace DSC" millions of times.

I tried with Tool32 and NCS Expert too. Also, for some reason, I couldn't put the correct VIN number on the DSC by judging the UIF from INPA.

I would be happy if I could write over the new unit. Not sure how since I tried different ways and I´ve checked instructions. I might have missed something. At the moment, Daten and dissemble in NCS Dummy and exporting to NFS/WINKFP is beyond my skills yet. Obviously, WINFKP refused me when I tried to flash the DSC90 file over the different hardware number.

I'm pretty sure but not certain that 4 cyl and 6 cyl DSCs are different and not compatible. I'd try to get a used one from a 6 cyl car.

Maybe it's just the pumps that are different. Perhaps a more knowledgeable poster will chime in.

now it is fixed. I just moved carbon brushes to the original unit
