Maf change e90 330d.

1.No boost,jerking/hesitation.
2.Inpa code for Luftmassenmesser.(Maf )
3.Unplug faulty maf.
4.limited performance restoration vehicle running on default data.
5.replace maf with quality unit(not cheap chinese rubbish)
6.Ign on,clear error codes with INPA.
7.install new MAF and connect wiring plug.
8.Allow to tickover for 10 mins for DDE to recognise throttle position.
9.Drive for approx 1 hour mixed driving speeds including motorway if possible.
10.Boost restored,fuel consumption improved,initial adaption complete.
11.Vehicle will gradually fine tune its adaption with use.

This may or may not work for everyone and maybe require adaptions to be reset by battery disconnection for a reasonable time to allow DDE to start from base values to learn the new component.

Please comment if you know better as it is a continual learning process with these vehicles.

Have you replaced your MAF.?

Did you have to do adaption reset of any kind.

Did you get warning light for engine for some time.?
