Car acting like battery is low and then dead but it's good

Went to start my 06 e60 525xi this morning. It's acting like the battery was almost dead. After two tries it stopped turning over as if the battery was dead. I took my battery to the local advance auto store for a test and they said it was a good battery with 811 cold cranking amps out of 900 with something like 12.25 volts. Does anyone know what could cause this issue and how to fix it?

Possible faulty crank position sensor? Just one idea

Could be bad ground cable between engine and body. Could also be bad starter. If it's cranking slow like a low/dead battery it's not going to be a sensor.

There is an easy test to diagnose the ground cable between the body and engine block. Connect a jumper cable between a body ground point under the hood and something metal connected to the engine block like the oil filter housing or something. If it cranks normally you've got a bad ground cable.

Thanks, I did that and still nothing so I'm going to replace the starter.
