Driving longer distance noticed AC had lost any ability to cool. is this common?
Seemed ok a few weeks ago when the AC was on.
Wondering if this could be some other electrical issue not just the Freon leak?
BMW dealer will charge me and arm and leg to diagnose!

Same happened about 3 years ago and I had Freon filled back then and it worked fine up until now.
Seems to be an issue when temperature outside is over 65F.

Freon recharge kits are relatively inexpensive at AutoZone, etc. and usually come with a pressure gauge to measure before/after recharge levels. For a 2011, it may well be time to top it up. At least as a first troubleshooting effort.
