P0979, P0982 Car stuck in P and shift into drive
Hey guys, I have been doing interior some restoration to my 2006 E90 and ran into the following error codes:
P0979: Shift Solenoid “C” Control Circuit Low P0982: Shift Solenoid “D” Control Circuit Low When I was putting back the center console of the car I noticed this clip had broken off. I replaced the clip with a replacement part and plugged it back in. I have never seen these codes until I had to jump start my car one afternoon when the battery died. I have tried unplugging the battery and waiting 30 mins to reset the code. The car is stuck in park and wont shift out of park. I can clear the codes above with an OBDII scanner. If turn the car on (in accessory mode) and clear these codes and then turn on the engine I am able to bypass the lock on the shifter and drive normally, the gears change normally and Sport mode is there too... If anyone could help me out with what this could be? |
