Castrol Edge Sport or Castrol Edge?

Which would be best for my E90 325i Castrol Edge Sport 0W-40 or Castrol Edge 5W-30W Edge Sport is £5/4L cheaper.
Halfords doing both with free Pro Screwdriver set for each 4L purchased

You're going to need 7L for an oil filter. Who gets the second screwdriver set?

Well, I guess it's not likely to be me. I don't have the answer at hand but as long as either are fully synthetic I don't think it really matters. The user's manual (I don't have mine with me at the moment) would specify the weight range and I think 0W-30 and 5W-40 are both permitted. Both are LL04.

If both are allowed (as per the manual) then the former as flows round motor from cold quicker and offers more protection at higher temps too.

I just bought 8l of 5W - 30 for my 330d from Halfords. Stealer said it was fine, through gritted teeth. I didn't get a screwdriver set though

How much you pay for the 8l? Did I qualify for the extra screwdriver set?

BTW, Apollo, the second "w" doesn't belong. It's just "5W-30". Sorry I didn't win the screwdriver set.
