Rear defroster not working -- not the continuity on the lines..

I have a 2011 335xdrive N55 engine car, and the rear defroster doesn't seem to work at all. I've checked it with a continuity tester and none of the lines light up, so I went ahead and checked the fuse -- nothing broken there either.

I can't seem to see a relay listed on my car for the rear defroster, so not sure what else to check, or where. Is the connector for the defroster in the trunk somewhere? I don't know where to check next, but open to ideas.

Thanks!

the rear defroster has its own issues, for its ciruit under rear shelf and rear left and right rear pillars covers, there two "surge arresters" which pass electricity to defroster
and some of the can fail or burn or even be source of the fire in car
this is well known problem for e9x sedan
here is a diagram for the circuit
the relay is K13, it's location is also provided

all that information is contained in ISTA which is available somewhere in internet
if you begin to do something with BMW by yourself, you have to get ISTA and your troubleshooting will be much faster

Thanks for the diagram, I'm not sure where that is located... is that under the glovebox? I did the fuse already, so that doesn't look quite the same.

Not to hijack, but could this also cause weak rear defrost? Mine just barely remove a light frost...heavier stuff no way.

Not sure that's the correct diagram for me, as that's a 335d, not a 335 xdrive which I have

Any idea where I can pull the diagrams from?

I had a weird thing on my 2006 e90 the defroster worked intermittently to not at all. In fixing another issue I replaced the car battery and it fixed the defroster. The Dealership had put in the wrong size and chemistry of a battery causing some weird problems. that the next dealership couldn't track down. I told them to just replace the battery as it wasn't starting as well as it should and that fixed all.
