2008 my car year in pics
Morning everyone. Its now fast approaching the end of 2008. What a year, lots of happened not only in my life (Nothing major) and even more to our economy
But this post is about what ive done this year in my car. Not that much, but enough to keep me entertained. My car is only for pleasure. Not used for work at all. I have a work vehicle. Lets start with the very end of last year, very close to new year. Evotechnik + bmwmand meet in kent. The peak district first week in Jan for holiday EARLY feb DMS trip with RichardM Great guys, great re-map and fantastic premises. Here is my original thread on the re-map when it was first done. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...+re-map+review Then further into February and the first Kinda E90post meet at Santa Pod. First RWYB of the year. Myself, Tony, Serjames and Jay C from here were the attendees from e90post. JayC just piping me off the line, but not for much longer Tony and myself lining up for a run. Tony (me background) showing how good the 230's 19" rims look when rolling. Also in feb PistonHeads Ace cafe meet. Feb was proving to be one heavy car month with another Massive Piston head meet with over 600 cars. This is the convoy home with the e90post boys My favourite pics of the year of my car whilst on a local country drive. Into April and a quick trip up to Snetterton to go out in R4R (Dario) superb Radical Not forgetting the E90post dyno day at surrey rolling road. The bug had well and truly bitten and my first Trackday was booked for May little over a month later. Next up was UK5 in Buxton. What a great meet, unfortunately i do not have any pics from this. The day after UK5 i got PHONECALL asking me to participate in a REDLINE magazine car thrash at the infamous Bruntingthorpe proving ground. Group shot of the cars featured. Some tips being offered by Redline Mag's top man Renton. Just about to launch up the 2 mile 60m wide runway. Such an awe inspiring place. Sitting at one end not being able to see the other due to the earths curvature. INSANE. Here are some videos from that day. I also got to drive this 500+bhp 996 turbo on that day. I only got to 150mph before the owner asked me to slow down, minutes before i drove it the owners Girlfriend took me out in it to 188mph now thats fast. Then came May My first Trackday, venue: Snetterton. Passenger all day long was buddy JayC. Car was superb on track, The torque hauling the E92 ass out of the bends with phoenominal force. The stock Bilstein suspension providing great damping. June was quiet and July was host to Good Wood Festvial of speed meet. Pics and link at the end. But AUGUST well that was a busy month. August was the scene of a Santa POD visit x 2 (didnt run at the first due early rain and needing to leave at luncthime) E90Post track day at Snetterton and UK6 in Melton Mowbray.Firstly the successful Santa Pod visit. Raced some quick cars, and won... Best kill of the day was a Supercharged VXR8 with 560bhp.. TWICE Some vids from Santa Pod Me vs JayC Ibiza Turbo Me vs 305bhp Vectra VXR After that Was E90post Trackday. Snetterton the venue the date being August 29th I take back what i said earlier about my fave pics of the year. This sequence below are my favourite, of my chasing down Baris modded M3. quite a few e90post members took to the track. Myself, Booforty, Xkalibar, Porscha, BmwBailey, Spin, Stevie A and a few of our friends not on the forum. A pic from UK6 That too was a great meet. Viv has a good video and link and pics to meet will be at the end of this post. Then it was time for the E90POST RING TRIP. in early September What a mad trip. Few EVO T boys and us E90posters headed off to the ''Green Hell'' What a mad crazy place with so many accidents every lap. Thanks for Tony and Tim for looking after us We even made ''BimmerPost'' front page October was quiet. As was November. December and we had one final E90post meet down in deepest darkest surrey. No pics im afraid. Link to UK5 pics http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...light=uk5+meet Good Wood festival of speed meet pics from July. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...&highlight=UK6 e90POST track day meet thread http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...light=UK6+MEET UK6 meet thread http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...MELTON+MOWBRAY Canary whart meal and night out in December http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=191377 Last sats Piston Head meet pics. Lots of Lambos and Porsches and ferrari's http://pistonheads.com/gassing/topic...26607&nmt=Last Been a busy car year for me thats for sure. Some of you have done even more meets than me. Been a FANTASTIC year, met some fantastic people and made some Real good friends. Roll on 2009 Thanks to you all HAPPY NEW YEAR Love Carlos

Superb mate, great read.
The highlight of the decade for me is the denzil beating the VXR supercharged, but then again nothing really suprises me with the BMW diesel engines, truly leaders IMO |

Great pictures!
What a great year for you and your car. Envious of a 335D, would love to upgrade (company would not allow it!). Loved the one with the V8 Vauxhall, just goes to show the power of diesel!
