Oil cooler line pin hose

Just wondering if anyone has tried repairing their oil cooler line by cutting off the crimp clamp, putting in a new hose and re-crimping or have used a worm drive clamp.

thanks.

Just buy a new hose, the oil lines in the N54 run at high pressure

Agreed but looking to alternate solutions if possible since the line is $420 and I live nowhere near a dealership. So just wondering if there's been a solution where AN fittings on braided lines on the stock oil cooler have been used

Take the lines to Enzed and have them replace the flexible sections

Yes I have done it using custom hoses with AN fittings. The hoses were made by a professional shop. From memory they were more expensive then OEM. That said they worked fine

For those interested I purchased some nylon brand AN10 hoses, cut off the factory crimp, reuse the factory fittings, then double clamped both ends with crip clamps. total cost $40.
