broken valve cover bolt

I broke a valve cover bolt into my cylinder head. Any suggestions on getting it out? I've already drilled into it a considerable bit(this is an older photo before drilling) and before continuing is there anything I should do to help or other ways I can get it out?

alternative option

You may want to look into an alternative such as swapping the motor or an LS swap. I had a friend with this issue and a new motor solved it.

+1.

If you can't made it with an extractor tool ( reversed thread),
do helicoil , faster and this bolt is not holding 400lbs of pressure anyway. drill the same size as the oem bolt, drop helicoil, re-torque.

Left handed cobalt drill bit + small propane torch to heat up around the bolt + PB Blaster. Thankfully its on the corner and you can get alot of heat on the outside around the bolt. Drill slow with a lot of downward pressure and it should walk the bolt right out
