Best ipod solution for Proffesional CD?

I know there is a lof of infomations on this topic here - but so many that it´s not easy to find

) and things changes at time, so mabye there os some news.

I´m going to change my OEM bussines CD player for proffesional CD player (alpine make), and i wonder if it is possible to connect Ipod / USB into that? I don´t mean via AUX-IN i mean regular ipod connection when i can control ipod from my oem radio / steering wheel control..
I´ve been looking on Dension Gateway - but e92 BMW support only 500 model, which is so expensive

Is there some other (cheaper, but functional) option? I guess that´s only possibility to connect some ipod adapter instead CD changer - which i don´t have so i don´t mind..

If your changing the head unit anyway? Have you considered putting in an Aftermarket Head unit such as Alpine 9855 / 9861 single din units? Full iPod connectivity then. You need a fascia but these are avail for single din fairly cheaply now.

Otherwise, as AUX-in is not an option, your only options are mObridge or Dension 500, AFAIK.

Yes, i have prof unit ready to bulid in - because of sound upgrade - business sound really terrible. I want stick with OEM way, i have one Alpine IVA D-105 at home from last installation in e46, but i´m going to sell her, don´t want aftermarket HU..

BMW retrofit kit, that does not work with prof unit? Works only with business? Why?
