Hey everyone,

Can someone tell me what hose this is?

Looks like it's attached the the back of the engine bay? I may be wrong... But..

Anyone have any experience with this?

Doesn't look that hard to change. Or am I just being ignorant?

very easy , see # 2 : https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=64_1497

The bottom can be undone with a small flat screw driver, the top part from your picture with pliers , no need the special clamp tool since you have good access and the force is minimal.

couple of plastic clip that hold the hose on the frame and that's it. You probably can plug it to get to the part store.

Waiting for a tow from GEICO, they give me one free. I'm like 7 minutes from my house so 😂

Thank you so much for the quick reply. I'll grab one tonight.

did you see where it burst ? those are not known to break like this, might be simply detached .

I've reached my hand in, and it's not disconnected. I can't really tell where the leak is exactly?

So, turns out it was disconnected.
Snapped it on, gave it a tug.

I was able to let it cool down enough to get it home. I pretty much killed the engine within 30 seconds of the temp gauge, cause my coolant level light came on first.

Just letting it cool down again to put some new blue in her, and check for leaks on that lower line. I'm guessing this is the supply line? Given the quick disconnect on it, but I could be wrong.

Appreciate the tip, because unless I knew that was a thing and I didn't have 2 hours to wait for a tow truck, I would have more than likely bought a new hose and then realized nothing was actually wrong with it.

It probably just popped off because I did a turn on the waste gate actuator. Got a little more power, I was just trying to jump ahead of a slight rattle I'm hearing but she's running strong. I'm guessing it will need to be replaced soon regardless, any advice on that? Seemed okay, but I won't know until it's filled back up.
