E92 doesn't start

Recently I’ve restored my e92
I blew my head gasket because of driving it with a coolant leak. And wasn’t able to afford to fix it later so the car was parked for a year I’ve now replaced the engine, coolant box, water pump, thermostat and changed battery and almost everything under the hood the car worked perfectly fine while driving it would make some weird clicking noises especially while stationary, I didn’t drive it for two days and now it won’t start at all Ive tried to start it with cables to the battery it just makes some clicking sounds when I push the start button. Also, the car used to lag and start before this issue so I’m guessing it’s the starter but I’d appreciate any feedback and thoughts/fixes.

Maybe the voltage is low? What is the battery's standing voltage and also when cranking?

Might also want to check the ground straps. Corroded straps will not flow enough current for the starter.

Appreciate your feedback mainbearing

I’ll check the ground straps as for the battery it’s brand new battery, do you think it could be a wiring issue ?

Unless you have high quality heavy duty jumper cables, jump starting these cars when the battery is heavily discharged will not work. I would be putting the battery on a charger to fully recharge it. If you don't have one, take it out and have someone recharge and test it. When batteries are discharged (flat) it damages the cells, so get it recharged sooner rather than later.
