Recently imported X1 needs US software?
Recently purchased '17 X1 imported to the US from Canada. Want to get the connected services working. Integrates so well with the HUD! Already validated warranty with BMW US.
Connected drive tells me I need to take the rig to the dealer for software updates prior to getting connected drive working. One dealer confirmed yes and leave if for the day with no further detail. Another didn't know, and another never returned my calls.
Anyone familiar with this? Any suggestions for next steps? I have noticed a few coding issues with the Canadian software. Headlights always on at night and setting cruise control in km on dash, but HUD reads mph.
