Tow hitch
Hello I have a 2011 e90 335xi LCI and am trying to find a tow hitch to install to be able to tow a jetski. I've scoured the forms and internet to no avail. Can anyone point me in the right direction for something that will work for my 335xi or am I SOL? Thanks.
Looks like this one might have worked but a little late to the party lol- https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1347764 |

I have the stealth hitch and have been very happy with it. It's well made and not even visible once the receiver part is removed.

I got stealth hitch for my E70 3 years ago.
I DIY-ed installation. Remote coding was included with price. Quality was exceptional. It was pricy for my wallet. The only regret is that I should off done it years ago. TIP1: at the time, multiple receiver height options was on the table. Give stealth hitch a call, make sure you pick one that will work well your jetski trailer. TIP2: consider this socket instead of one supplied with the kit. I had to make custom bracket https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00W1O2FQ0/

Had it for years and have towed my Kendon with my motorcycles all over the place. Car barely even notices it back there. |

Most of my life I have towed with trucks and SUVs. Granted, I don't tow heavy with the car, but I'm surprised how well it tows.

To shut them up I was like, "Well, I also have this 1992 Ford Ranger 2.3, should I use that instead?" And of course all of the yanks said yes, then I pointed out the BMW has a higher weight, higher GVWR, higher rated towing capacity (In Europe, not rated in US), bigger brakes, bigger engine (more tq/HP), higher torque rated transmission, more rubber, etc. A well sprung trailer properly weighted 60/40 and under 3k (although its rated for that) and youre just fine. A 400lb trailer with 2 400lb motorcycles on springs an a 24" diameter tire is nothing to an E90. Just take it easy and leave extra braking room and youre perfectly fine. She also makes for a sexy tow rig: |

E90 is allowed to tow up to 3968lb (EU regulations). E91 probably little bit more due to heavier car.
Personally i tow ~4400 lb (2 horses) with E90 quite regularly and its handles it with ease. Hills are not a problem and fuel consumption is about 23 mpg. |

Stealth hitch is a great option if you want to spend the money. If not, this is a perfectly cromulent option for ½ the cost.
