Reset FRM
Just a quick Q guys. I hope somebody has the answer…
If I was to reset my FRM with ProTool or the like does anyone know what actually happens? Is it just a reboot or an actual reset of the module and therefore the VO will have to be coded to it? Thanks for your help. |

Depends on what you mean by reset. Reset could mean to just turn the module off and back on. Factory coding would reset the coding based off your VO. Short circuit reset would reset the short circuit counters in the frm. Resetting codes would mean to erase frm error memory. What are you trying to do?

Thx for the reply. I have the 2 angel eyes on the drivers side stuck on. They turn off with the car but are permanently on while the car is awake. Also there’s this…..
As this is lighting related I thought I would ‘reset’ my footwell module. Turns out what I did was just an off/on cycle. I tried coding the factory VO to it but the problems persist as well as the car now nagging me about both brake lights failing. I therefore recoded the ‘backed up’ VO and all went back to how it was before. After recoding the backup protool stated (something like) that I have 13 non factory additions to my VO. Or words to that effect. May be worth buying a used FRM and seeing how that goes?? |

😂😂🙈 I’m thick as s***. You can tell I’m new to BMWs. All this time I’ve been trying to get those lights off. They’re daytime running lights. I should of been trying to get the other 2 ‘on’! 😂😂 A bulb change has sorted this. 🙈
Now to sort the bigger issue. Thx sd********* for replying. |
