A6D0 code on 2011 335d AC not working
So the aircon on my car went out. The climate control is a dual zone setup. All the controls work, the snowflake lights up, just no cold air whether it's on Max or Auto (set to 65 degrees).
Shop replaced the Junction Box (JBE), tested it in the cool shop by running the car with the A/C on. It worked there. Then they returned the car to me to test it out. Several things have happened.
So now the AC works intermittently, but not consistently like when I need it when it's hot out. I put the reader on it and it drew the dreaded A6D0 code "Control Valve in AC Compressor". After days scouring the internet and reading anything that mentions this code, I haven't found anything on point for a late model E90 let alone a 335d. I have come across mention of a "compressor control valve" that reads like the culprit. My question is: Does this "compressor control valve" exist in my 335d as a separate part or is it a part of the compressor? Any ideas? |
