E90 325i N52B25 330i 3 stage intake mod beneficial?
Hello,
I was looking for performance mods for my new to me 2008 325i N52B25N. I read about the 3 stage intake mod for 325i. And was confused about the result of mod on the 2.5 engine vs 3.0 engine. My car comes with intake: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=11_3756 This looks like it has already got the 3 stage intake but with a different manifold (part no. 11617559525 vs 11617559523 in 330i) which I read might be with smaller ports for 2.5 engine compare to 3.0 engine. I read here [https://bmwtuning.co/n52-intake-mani...pgrade-guide/] that 330i intake gives good gains in N52B25. But also in some places that the gains may not be so much. I'm confused here. I was wondering - if I tune the car with the stock 3 stage intake, am I going to see any gains? And if I put the 330i 3 stage intake on my N52B25 what gains I could expect? Thanks! |

I installed the n52b30 3 stage intake manifold into my german 2005 n52b25 (which also had already a 3 stage, but slightly different).
I feel more torque in mid rpm (2000-4500), it is better, but you won't have a new car. But, I tried the conversion tune from the US 325i (3.0L I guess) and it worked (some vanos and DMTL error codes, US n52 not fully compatible with EU I guess) - I had incredible performance gains up to 5000 rpm, so I guess there is only a good 325i tune left for some gains |
