Do you think I've sailed yet?

Hi All,

I dropped my car off in Munich on May 22rd (11-days ago) and have not been able to find out if it has made it onto a ship yet (West Coast delivery). My CA is on Vacation and I'm sure he'll be able to look it up when he returns. Regardless, does anyone know an easy way to find out if you don't have the assistance of a CA? Do they sail out of Bremerhaven? The BMWUSA site still indicates it is awaiting shipment, but based on previous experiences with that site I have little trust in it.

Thanks much

I had read the first few replies in that thread before. But, this time I read a bit further. And, I think I found the informaiton I needed. Sounds like I should receive a "boat notification" letter about a week after the car ships with the boat name. And, that it takes about 10-days to get on a ship after dropoff. If I don't get a letter in the next week or so, I'll call the dealer.

Thanks!

I thought somewhere in there it mentioned e-mailing Harms. I e-mailed the Harms office in NJ with my VIN number and Production number (not sure which one they used) and they responded the next day with my ship name. This was a week and a half or so after I dropped off my car in Munich. From there you can use the websites listed on that thread for tracking and departure/arrival dates.

I'll wait until next week and try e-mailing Harms. I'll report back on my success...or failure.
