HID retrofit keeping AFS

Im looking for more oem+ look. So i decided just to do a retro on my stock afs hids. The goal will be to replace the stock hid projector with the g5-brt hid projectors.

I will also be replacing the halos with the preciesion raceworks angel eyes.

The other goal is to keep the stock auto leveling and corning lights.

Items

G5-BRT Hid Projectors
Lightwerkz AFS brackets
Precision Raceworks Angel eyes
New ebay clear headlight covers.

Basically to keep the corning lights to have to shave the bracket that holds the new g5 brt projector so it can rotate left and right.

You will have to cut the stock bottom half aluminum bracket so the new projector will sit flush.

The height is controlled by the stock plastic bracket, so this part you dont have to worry about.

I also decided to remove the turn signal look to give it a cleaner look.

Im pretty happy how they came out.

The light output is better then stock.. it also has a nicer blue tint at the cutoff. Also has a newer stock look

I did a similar upgrade on my E93 a few months ago and it turned out nice, but I have to open them up again to make some adjustments.

My cutoffs aren't perfectly level. I'm not sure why but the drivers side is slightly rotated counterclockwise and the passenger side is slightly rotated clockwise. I see you have the same exact thing in your last photo. I also used the Lightwerkz brackets and cut out a slot for the 'fin' on the bottom of the G5-BRT. Maybe I'll try cutting the bottom out more, but I'm thinking I may have to open up the holes on the bracket so I can slightly rotate the projectors.

Do you have any more detailed photos showing how much you cut away from the plastic bracket on the AFS assemblies? I trimmed quite a bit but there's still not enough room for the projectors to swivel so for now I disabled the adaptive function but I want it back. Also if I'm opening these again I'm going to install those angel eyes too.

I think i didnt cut enough of bottom aluminum bracket that the bottom half of the projector attaches to and rests on.

The grt projectors are very wide so i literally shaved to bracket as far i was i can go without causing the bracket to collapse.

Sorry i didnt take more photos.

The lightwerkz vid, give you a better idea how much rotation you need for the corning lights to work.
