Ok to run 2 different set of tires?? Generals and Invos??
I am thinking of running two different set of tires on my car.
I am thinking of running generals on the front (235/35/19) and Nitto Invos on the rear (265/30/19). What do you guys think of running two different sets of tires on the car at the sametime?? I know this is a big No No, in the autocross world but I will most likely be running straight line races. (obviously some spirited driving in the twisties at times) Let me know what you guys think..... |

i think this isn`t a good idea. stay with a tested set up from tyre manufacturer.
why would you like to do this. what is your idea behind that

Well if you are already spending more $$ for the Invos just do them all the way around. I've run 2 different sets but only when my tires get worn and I want a cheaper replacement.

If you are doing any kind of performance driving, i would advise you to have all 4 of the same tires. Having 2 different kinds of tires could be unpredictable because each has different characteristics. I would definitely not do it during the winter for sure.
If you just decide to daily drive, then it should be ok to run 2 different summer tires. -Charles@VMRWheels www.vmrwheels.com

Do you think it would be ok to do this if you live in a warm climate, with DRs on the back and RFTs on the front?
