KW V2 Front Height Adjustment

I have been reading through all the front height adjustment threads and have noticed that generally when both the FL and FR coilovers are adjusted to the same thread (i.e. x amount of threads from the bottom) that the drivers side is still higher?

I had adjusted my suspension so the perch was 28 threads from the bottom on both sides, but the drivers side (measured from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender) was about .5" higher than the passenger side and still looked too high. So I went back and adjusted the drivers side to 24 threads from the bottom and that evened things out, but I am wondering

1. If it is normal for them to be that far off.
2. If it is ok to have the FR and FL adjusted differently to match in height.
3. Is there a better (more accurate way) to measure the height?

I would like to take the car in and get it aligned tomorrow, but want to make sure the height is in its final spot.

Thanks for any input!

Adam

Sorry if that is too lengthy.. here is a summary:

Is it normal for the front left and front right suspension perches to be lowered to the same thread, while the actual height of the drop is different (by about .4") for each side?

you really need to see if the floor is level...I also though the same thing about my rears only to realize that my garage floor is not even...once I realized that I went outside the garage to measure and the car was even!!!
