M3 Wheels

Do genuine new m3 wheels fit directly on to a standard e90??? tyres they have on are 245/35/19 for the front and 265/35/19 for the rear.

BMW developed the M3 to be a coupe only - That is why they bolted the E92 front end onto the E90 - the M3 suspension will not fit onto an E90.

Hence the E90 M3 takes on the E92 offsets - pretty sure a standard E90 can't take E92 wheels?

I am pretty sure the E90 will take E46 M3 wheels though.

Well Gizze had a set of M3 alloys on his E91 so you should be ok. But you will have to change the tyres to 225 + 255 to prevent rubbing.

The M3 rims will fit an E90 M3, as well as a standard E92 and E93 as far as I am aware

I've seen M3 wheels on an E91 in Newcastle area. I have also seen OEM 19'' wheels on E91's on this forum. If they fit E91's they will fit E90's. Try the wheel and tyre threads on the main forum. There is a wheel and tyre calculator if you know all the widths and offsets. I am sure someone has done it. I would

PS smaller tyres and /or spacers may be needed.

yeah, I suppose they should be - just seems that as you up the alloy size, you increase the chances of rubbing, etc..

Nothing worse than a bit of chaffing

I now know for a fact there is a set of 19'' OEM M3 wheels on an E91 and they fit. Not sure the tyre sizes but I can check next week. I'll try and get a photo as well.

Oooh yes, I don't suppose a bit of Vaseline on the arches will help though will it?

So, they're the same size 81/2 F & 91/2 R & they've got the same Offset as the 19" Style 220 - Look's like if you went down a tyre size to 255 they would fit under the rear of an E90.. They looked really good on the silver Estate.. Still a bit unsure if you could squeeze the 19" under however....

19'' style 225 is now an option on the LCI E90/1. The track width has increased at both ends of the LCI over the previous version. 19's will fit, as will 20's with the right offset, spacers and tyre size. Have a look at the US modified cars on this forum.

Those 20" wheels look good - With an Offset of ET35 both front & rear it's the same set up as I run only with 19" CSL reps on an E90.

I'm still unsure whether you could squeeze an ET23 offset with a 265 35 19 tyre under a 2006 E90... perhaps with a slightly narrower tyre - 255 maybe!

There's are quite a few set popping up on eBay these days - If they do fit - I may well end up with a set!
