Thumbs down HPFP failing... Go to dealer with mods?

hey guys,
After a 4 day vacation I returned home to my car taking forever to start, it cranked for like 6 7 seconds. I searched and most of you have decided that this is a definite sign of a failing HPFP. I currently have v3 rev.II, exhaust with secondary cat delete, intake and bov. I should be getting my catless dp's tomorrow but I'm thinking should I take my car in before I put them on? Should I have a problem with my car going into the stealership with my exhaust, bo,v and intake minus v3 and catless dp's.....?

It is a lot of work to remove the tuning, but I think it is safer.
If they deny the warranty it will cost a lot.

Waht build date is your 335i?

I think you'll be ok with just the exhaust on. Take off the intake, tune, and BOV.

Although they would have to prove the problem is related to the mods, i think it would save alot of stress if you took off the mods (ie. tune, intake, DEFINATELY the blow off)

Did it only take a long time that one time? I recently left my car sitting for about a week and when it started it took about that long. I also noticed comfort access didn't work until after I started the car. It's possible the battery just got a little lower than usual which caused the long crank.

Mine has been fine ever since the one long crank. And everytime I leave it for a few days it definitely has a longer crank.

I know its a PITA, but I would remove the tune, intake, and BOV. The exhaust shouldn't be a problem (but catless DP's would).

If that car has had software modifications and they choose to check that is all the proof they need. I'd bring that car back to stock or face black listing.

sorry to say but they MAY even give you $hit about the 2nd cat delete...depends on the dealership....

But i'd def. remove intake/tune/BOV just to be safe...

I think they'll do the HPFP work if you leave what you are saying on, due to the fact that they know their HPFPs are complete shit. But Im sure they'll definitely flag your car for any future work that they can blame on the mods.
