Inspection won't pass
I just took my car to HCBMW to renew my inspection sticker, and was told my tint (35%) is actually 23%. They also told me I must have a front license plate as the standards are now more strict.
Does anyone know of any gas stations or places that are cool with these things? My sticker is due at Feb lol thanks for any help in advance!!!! |

For front plate, you can get the one that screws into your tow hook. That should take care of it. As far as tints go, you can go to any gas station. I use the Shell at Fenway, just don't let them drive you car into the bay.

Even I was rejected for Inspection at BMW Gallery Norwood.Yeah they are more Strict these Days now.
I took it a Shop on Route 1,even they asked me to have front plate on.So for that very few minutes,I used Strings and hanged the plate from the grille...

I know that in Maine, they'll let you off if its visible, so just stick it in the windshield. Unfortunately, my car already got drilled, so I can just put the damn thing back on for 3 months until I'm back in the land of smooth bumpers. Actually... Its gonna be 9, I'm going to Europe for 4 months

thanks for the info guys!
so i taped my front plate on, went to about 5 gas stations today, and had NO LUCK  a guy did tell me he would do it for $130 but i figured its too muchanyways, so i went to talk to Jim at Sound in Motion, where i did my tints. Right away he offered to take them off on monday, and put them back on after i renew my sticker, free of charge. After being rejected the whole afternoon, that was at least very good to hear lol ill let u guys know if i happen to find a gas station that would do it before monday. |

I ran into the same problem a couple weeks ago (my tint registered at 28%) and found a place near comm ave and harvard st that pass me (i had both my windows down though and he didnt check the front of my car. PM me if you need the address.

I'll try a few more spots people mentioned and hopefully ill have luck with me this time!That was me Arustik!! I was thinking it might be you, but you must have changed ur license plate cuz it didnt seem like the one in ur sig! I was there cuz my SA was sending me to a gas station on Harvard Street but that didnt work out either  Your car sounded good by the way lol compared to my dead silient 328anyways ill let u guys know where I eventually get this done. It seems like many people run into the same problem! |
