They only made it to celebrate their 16th Constructor's Championship (16 for the number and the "M" is for manufacturer, I think). It's basically a 1-off model with more than 1 made.

Beautiful machine; would prefer a coupe, but it gives me one less thing to lust after.

iPod/iPhone mount is unique, but WTF? If I had that car, there'd be no music, no video, no GPS. Just listening to the motor and watching the road ahead.

Like I said before, it's basically a one-off model. It purpose is to serve not as another performance machine, but as a trophy or piece of art to commemorate Ferrari's 16th Constructor's Championship. It's like the 512M.
