Software update with or without "lag fix"?
Please excuse the new thread for what may have been covered elsewhere.
My May 07 E92 335i had a software update to fix a rattle (presumable wastegates) Having now found an explanation for turbo lag (I ignored it for a while thinking it was just me) with the action of wastegates etc. My question is this - Do I just ask for a version 32 software update or do I ask for a V32 update with "lag-fix" as per our NA members? I understand then that if the wastegate rattles reappear, I should then get an actuator fix. Is this correct? Thanks |

ohhhh, ouch, there's one thread with over 177 pages regarding this... but from what I've read, and what the gracious Tony posted (ain't surprised you stopped posting in that thread, some right cocks over there), then there is a possibility it will stop with the new software but the alignment of the actuators is key to getting it sorted properly.
