Englishtown Opening Day With DINAN Software

I was away and unable to post we went to Englishtown on Saturday and had a great time. The track was not crowded at all and there were alot of different cars. I was pretty happy with the results I had on my Goodyear all season tires still and the temp was 40 degrees so traction was not the best I did not hookup until I shifted into second gear. I still had some respectable times considering the tires and conditions. I wish I had the JB+ but that came in the mail today I will post a review of it but let me say wow it feels like I strapped a rocket on the back of my car I am going to dyno it and dial it in on tuesday so I only had my DINAN tune and the RIss stuff. Here are my runs.

R/T .706 .680 .764
60' 2.152 2.126 2.212
1/8 8.455 8.393 8.526
mph 88.00 88.42 87.45
1/4 12.895 12.843 12.997
MPH 109.79 108.73 109.34

Damn, it was around 77F here, a little too warm for drag racing. And this was the last weekend for our local track daytime test and tune sessions. It really sucks out here.

He's driving an E93. The added weight may contribute to the lower MPH but I'm not completely sure.

Yes, JB+ on lowest setting and the dinan reflash apparently play very well together.

What car was trapping at 118? The white 335 was a convertible so it was heavier. I was very impressed with the JB3 for the weight and the runflats on the cold pavement I think he ran really well for just a tune. I am stacking the JB+ on the DINAN tune I just ran out with the car and it is a beast with the JB+ in it. The low end torque is crazy and it just keeps pulling now where it used to die down a bit with the DINAN alone. I am going to find the best setting on the Dyno so I can find out where the most horse power is without limping. I will think about going to Englishtown on the 7th it was a lot of fun this weekend. We had a lot of people coming up to us who were suprised what time we were running.

Holly shit dude, you still stacking tunes even after all the drama you had a while back? I don't know man, you got some pretty big balls.

Why not just get flashed back to stock and use one of the more juicier tunes out there instead. I'd think its gotta be safer going that route than stacking two different tunes that were not designed together, since all tunes available assume a stock car as a starting point. Just saying though. Not sure what you are doing is safe at all. You sure don't want a little more speed at the expense of your engine do you?

I wanted to keep the bottom end of the DINAN tune and the safety features it has. I figured with the JB+ I could just raise the boost a little bit and Dyno it to make sure it was running safely and still pull more power out of it. If I do not get 370whp out of it on Tuesday I think I will erase the DINAN and get a JB3. I do not know if that will happen though because the car feels very strong today the torque down low is sick and it keeps pulling so I am interested in what the dyno says. But if the dyno readings look unsafe I will lower the boost or get a JB3 I just wanted to try it out and post what I found out.

I think it's safe to say that whatever safety related mapping is thrown out the window once you arbitrarily raise the boost with no other changes to the mapping (fuel, timing, etc,.)

Dude, at the risk of sounding like a salesman, no one paying me shit to say this, but I ran them all in identical tune only otherwise stock auto car for a weekend. You can revisit that thread. You can't beat PROCede Rev II IMO. Its got all the torque you could ever ask for down low, smooth as heck, and wont take a dive either, and has a meaty midrange you wont feel in any of the other tunes. If this version of the tune was around when I got Dinan, you know who I'd have gone with... Do yourself a favor and test them both Objectively before you make a decision. Don't do a 20 mile test. Do a 50-100 mile test of the tunes, you'll see what I am saying. The price difference is small enough its worth trying out. I love the delivery and the quantity. It might not feel fast, but you look at odo you are illegal triple digit territory in a blink. Forget the track, go on the road, you'll really appreciate the differences.

Whatever you do man stop stacking tunes, not good idea unless you plan on not keeping that car for long. and understand most of the testing that been done and draw your own conclusions. I sure wouldn't do what you are doing. Its like food, tastes good not always equal to good.

Building a new product for you guys. Just finished the early prototype work today. Should have a show worthy prototype within the next 7-10 days.

And it's 3 hours earlier here!

We've got a few people beta testing 1.3 now and let me just say the general consensus is its a huge improvement over 1.22. So hold off on any big decisions until you have a chance to drive it.

On stacking the JB+ on top of the Dinan, I can't say I suggest it but I know BMS has done a lot of datalogging and off the record believes it is safe at the minimum setting. I would not run any higher than min on top of Dinan.
