I have them and I like them a lot. The HKS dampers are 30 way adjustable and the adjustment is at the bottom of the dampers (very easy to adjust). In the back, you can just reach under the car. In the front, you can also just reach under the car and adjust them if you turn the wheel. HKS sets the dampers to 20 (1 being the stiffest). The default setting handles awesome (corners very flat and the car doesn't squat or dive anymore), but I set it at 25 for my daily commute (I think the ride at 25 is about like stock except less body roll, squat, & dive plus it handles better). Going from 20 to 25 was a big difference in ride, so stiffening it up 19 clicks would be pretty bone jarring (no, I haven't tried that). I guess I'm saying is that there is a lot of adjustability for the street and track.
I don't track my car and I haven't used KWs, Bilsteins, TC Klines, etc. so I really can't do a comparison for you, but I'm happy. The build quality is top notch and I've had good luck with the Hipermax dampers on my previous car and so have many of my friends. By the way, don't get scared off by the "retail" price because nobody sells or buys at retail -- everybody discounts. I hope this helps. Here are some pictures: |

what differentiates these coils from the rest is that spring pre-load and height adjustment are independent... you can alter the height of the vehicle without altering suspension travel...

I bought them from SP Engineering (here in Southern California) -- they used to be a supporting vendor. |

Does it fit on all E9x series? I only see the Hypermax III available for E92 335 on the US HKS official site and only available for E90 320 on the Jap HKS official site

BTW....I had HKS Hypermax II on my Lexus IS300, and I love it so much. Handling is awesome, and easily adjustable. I heard they have improved on Hypermax III and I think the HKS coils are certainly competitive to KW and Blisten.

HKS uses stiffer springs due to their shock valving. Remember that it is a spring and damper system that work together, so direct spring rate comparisons to other coilovers cannot be made. By the way, with the dampers set to 25, the car rides very well and handles great.
