Tires on style 230's - 235 front, 275 rear?

Hi all.

Just got my coupe 3 days ago. The stock tires are getting ready to be replaced soon. I was going to drop down to 18" tires to get the tires I want, I need UHP all-season living here in CO. I DO have a winter setup, but in April/May and September/October, it can snow, dont want to be stuck with summer tires.

I found the Bridgestone RE960's in 235/35/19 for front, and 275/30/19 for rear. The rim width range is 8" for the front (Style 230 are 8" front, 9" rear) and 9" in rear, so the tires SHOULD fit well. Also wont throw the speedo off, and I know they are good tires, I had them on my previous car, loved them.

Will they fit the rims well though? Will I rub? Thanks for the feedback!

LOVING the car btw...all I want to do is drive it around.

+1

275 is too wide for a 9" wheel imo.

THe manufacture says the 275's will work on a rim 9-10", meas. is 9.5". Im only concerned about rubbing not being lowered and from what I have searched for, that these are not very aggressive offsets.

Toyo Proxes 4 are the only tires I can find in 265/30/19 that are All-seasons, and from what I have read, they suck in the snow, which is the exact reason I want all-seasons, for that time in April or October when we get snow here.

Are there any other tires in 265 besides the toyo's in all-season?

don't go 275... it will be a tiny bit too wide for the rims.

If you are looking for all season tires in this range you are very limited unfortunately.

275 will fit but will not look square on a rim that is 9-9.5 inch rim I would do 265 as stated previously, 10" rim 275 is no problem.

I could care less about the tire look for the most part. Im more concerned about it fitting for one and about it not rubbing. Square or rounded is not something I am concerned about. With this in mind, would I be okay? I beleive the offset is et37 on the 230 rears.

you will not rub for sure anywhere from 255 to 275 even if you planning dropping your car. It's just that 255 or 265 will look better than 275 in terms of fitting. The tires will also be a little cheaper if you go with with 255 or 265 rather than 275. It's really up to you if u care about the look or not lol.
