I agree, you can do the PNP yourself. I did it a few weeks ago. The instructions and video available online are very good. Take some time to study them first. The hardest part is just learning how the various pastic pieces you need to remove (to access the ecu) snap off and on. Take your time. That being said, if you're just not confident in your mechanical ability, there's no shame in paying for it.

I had to take mine out for the first time this weekend--and I paid to have it put in, as I am a self-described mechanical moron.
I had a buddy help me, and had someone who had put one in many times before on the phone. That part was really helpful--he knew which way the clips had to go, when to pull a little harder, etc. It made it easy, and I was so afraid I would end up breaking something. The real key is to take your time--I had my laptop out by the car with the video running, and we had watched it a few times before we started. It really isn't hard, but I too understand if you are worried about doing it yourself. BTW--the PnP is much easier than the pin-out.
